Brumation Tracker

Check on your brumating dragon regularly. Log weight and hydration to catch problems early.

Brumation vs. illness, read this first: Brumation is a natural seasonal slowdown, but the symptoms (lethargy, hiding, reduced appetite) look identical to serious illness such as impaction, parasites, or infection. Always have a reptile vet examine your dragon and check a fecal sample before assuming brumation, especially in young dragons under 12 months or if there is weight loss, sunken eyes, weakness, or abnormal stool. Never let a sick dragon "sleep it off."

Notes

Vet check results, weigh-ins, and waking/feeding observations.

Brumation should never be assumed. Confirm with a reptile vet and a fecal exam before letting your dragon brumate. Stop and seek care immediately for significant weight loss, weakness, or other warning signs.
